Decline's Drops Developer Teases New Project

Marc, the developer of the hit indie title Decline's Drops, has announced that he will taking a break from the title to work on a new project.

In his note shared to social media, Marc had this to say:

Sometimes, you have to make tough decisions.

Decline's Drops has been out on Steam for one year now, and while the game has been received very positively, sales have gradually declined (haha) month after month, despite the two major free content updates I've released. That's why I've decided to move on to other projects. I've been working on Decline's Drops for nearly 6 years.

It's been an incredible journey, and you've always been there, always supportive despite the delays, and I'm always sincerely, deeply thankful to all of you for that. But if I want to be able to make games again, now I need to work on other projects. I could find another "real" job, like I did in the past. I thought about it.

But that would mean even more delays; the time I would spend in a factory, or somewhere else, would prevent me to work on my projects. It would also be quite hard for me to be there for my family. I don't think this is a situation that would allow me to create content of good quality.

Now, be assured that the updates that were originally planned for Decline's Drops will be delivered, no matter what. New characters, bosses, modes ... they are all coming, Nintendo Swicth and Xbox Ports as well.

But for now, I shall focus on Project Break, a spin-off featuring Answer, the Puppet that was made in Winter. I hope you understand the situation, and again, I offer you my sincere apologies for all the
mistakes I made.

Thank you so much for your support,

Drazglb

We here at Netto's Game Room have had a great working relationship with Marc, and we all wish him the best on his new project. We previously spoke to him about Decline's Drops, which we also provided a review for. More recently we also held a giveaway event for the title where three lucky winners were awarded a copy on Steam.

While no further information about this new project has been provided, we are excited to see what he has planned, and will be sharing the news as soon as more information becomes available.
